May the Course Be With You - an annual putt-putt tournament in May that brings our community together for a day of fun, connection, and impact.

Inspired by Alex’s love of laughter, adventure, and all things Star Wars, this event celebrates the joy he brought into the world while supporting a cause deeply connected to his story.

All proceeds benefit the Alex Siegel Memorial Foundation, with a special focus in 2026 on supporting specific research at Cincinnati Children’s. This research is dedicated to improving how lung complications are identified and treated in children recovering from bone marrow transplants.

This mission is deeply personal. It reflects the battle Alex faced and the hope that, through this research, other families will have better answers and better outcomes.

Update July 25, 2026:

Today marks four years since we lost Alex.

It's hard to believe. Some days it feels like just yesterday we were listening to his giggle, hearing him say "Have a good day" as someone walked out the door, or watching him do another magic trick. Other days, it feels like he's been gone forever. Grief is strange that way.

Not a day goes by that we don't miss him.

One thing losing Alex has taught us is just how short and precious life is. We can't change what happened, but we can choose what we do with the time we're given. That's why this foundation means so much to our family. It gives us a way to keep Alex's light shining and hopefully make life a little better for someone else.

This week, because of all of you, the foundation was able to donate $20,000 to Cincinnati Children's to support research focused on the lung complications that can happen after a bone marrow transplant, the same complications that Alex couldn't overcome. We are so hopeful this research will help doctors learn more and give future kids a better chance.

Thank you for supporting the foundation, for sharing Alex's story, and for remembering our sweet boy. Every donation, every volunteer, every person who has come to this event or shared a post has helped make this possible.
